MINT WINS 5 of 7 IN ADOBO DESIGN AWARDS 2017

Out of the seven awards in the student category, MINT College’s Multimedia Arts students prove to be the cream of the crop by bringing home five major awards!

The Gold Prize went to Claudine Quintela for her Brand Design System for Manila Electric Transport.

For the Silver Prize, the winners were Ricah Icmat for “Dirty Dozen: 12 Must Try Street Food”, her Senior Project, and Chantal Arboleda for “Living with an OFW Parent”, Publication Design.

For Bronze, it was Kevin Matsuyama - “Dragon” - Pattern and Color Project, and
Vicky Tumacder – “Koi” – Pattern and Color Project.

This is the first time MINT College participated in the adobo Design Awards Asia. The fact that we won majority of the awards is quite overwhelming, but it definitely is a welcome surprise!

Congratulations, MINT students!

BERNARDO BERNARDO IS NEW MINT THEATER ARTS PROGRAM HEAD

We are proud to welcome Bernardo Bernardo as the newly installed program head for our Theater Arts department. Bernardo Bernardo, or BB, was recently part of the Berlinale Film Festival where his movie, Hele sa hiwagang hapis directed by Lav Diaz, won the prestigious Silver Bear Alfred Bauer Prize. BB is a veteran actor in TV, Film and Stage. He earned a bachelors in Journalism from the University of Santo Tomas (UST), a masters in dramatic arts from the University of California, Santa Barbara and a Masters in Education from the University of Phoenix. BB also attended intensive workshops at the London Academy of Music, and Dramatic Art. Please join us in welcoming BB as part of the MINT College family. The Theater Arts program is co-headed by Eugene Villaluz.

The Theater Arts (TA) program at MINT College applies a multidisciplinary approach guided by local thespians with global theatrical experience. Theater students are able to explore acting, musical theater, directing, playwriting, creative technologies, stage production, lighting and set design.

The curriculum provides students with acting studio classes, movement, performance opportunities, theater history, classical theater, and electives that explore specialized tracks such as technology in theater, improvisational theater, and musicals.

The program is highly collaborative with Theater students working directly with students and faculty from the Film, Multimedia Arts, Music Business Management, Marketing, Computer Science and I.T. programs. Graduates will not only leave as trained professionals but as content creators for the theater and other media channels.

For more information about Theater Arts, and the rest of our MINT College programs, contact admissions@mintcollege.com, or call 403-8676.‪#‎theaterarts‬ ‪#‎thespian‬ ‪#‎creativeschool‬ ‪#‎mintcollege‬
