MINT Classrooms

Color-coded. Modern. Fun.

The five color-coded classrooms, namely Menthol, Spearmint, Peppermint, Lemonmint and Indigo, do not have blackboards. Instead, these classrooms are equipped with 42-inch LCD screens that professors and students can use for audio-visual presentations. Glass boards are also installed to replace chalkboards.

In addition, MINT installed a bean bag room to ensure that learning is both fun and relaxing.

The unique design of the MINT classrooms provides numerous options for collaborative space. Students have been able to use such rooms as Spearmint, Peppermint and Geek Central to conceptualize, design and critique each others work. Students are given the opportunity to voice their opinions and suggestions about the work of their peers, while faculty act as mentors. This provides for a very open and transparent environment and the results are apparent through the student’s works.
