On May 26, MINT High students ended the school year on a high note with Cosmic, the first-ever senior high school prom of MINT College. The event was held at The Mind Museum, Bonifacio Global City.

Cosmic not only marks the first-ever prom at MINT High but is also unique because it was organized by students of the Work Immersion (MBM5) class that is taught by MINT instructor, Meg Miranda. “I feel that one of the most important ways to learn is by doing. The only way to find out if you’ll sink or swim I by jumping in,” Miranda said while explaining that the event was a class requirement for Grade 12 students. Asked about how she felt after seeing her students’ success, she said that she was very proud of her students, “It was a class of 11 students who are only 17-18 years old, yet they were able to mount an event as important as the prom.”

Gab Sadicon, an Accountancy, Business and Management student under the senior high program of MINT College, said that organizing the event for the class was both stressful and fun, “It’s the first event that I headed, so it was a little hard for me. I was worried that the event would not live up to the hype and that they would not enjoy.” However, Cosmic turned out to be a success since over a hundred senior high and college students attended the event. “I’m grateful to MINT for supporting us in staging Cosmic. I learned so much from this, and we had tons of fun. It was truly quite an experience,” added Sadicon.

Cosmic was hosted by Janina Vela and David Samson, and featured performances from Syd Hartha, Cheenee Gonzalez, Elise Huang, and Nathan and Mercury.
