your mentors
Our faculty, and the educators we invite, are rich in professional experience. With mentors like them at the helm, our students graduate with the skills and mindset to make waves in the industry.
Lachmi Baviera, Program Head. Lachmi continues the legacy of Music Business Management program founder, the late Eugene Villaluz. As the former GM of Warner Music Philippines, Lachmi is credited with leading them into the modern age, transforming it from a traditional music label into a digital entertainment company. She continues transforming the music industry in her current position as Country Head for Sony’s digital music distributor, The Orchard. Under her leadership, MINT’s MBM students get professional guidance and mentorship with access to the global music industry.
Jungee Marcelo, Songwriting Instructor. Jungee has been producing music for decades as a composer, lyricist, songwriter, jinglewriter, and music arranger. It would be an understatement to say that his influence in the music industry has touched most if not all Filipinos at home and abroad. As a stalwart of the annual PhilPop Bootcamp, Jungee always makes time to develop the next generation of Filipino musicians. You can find Jungee’s work on all major streaming services including Spotify, Apple, Youtube, Tidal and many more. In his free time, you may be able to find him street dancing to the latest hip hop jam.

We offer an education that emphasizes real world application. In line with this philosophy, we have a range of industry partners that allow our students to engage in hands-on experiences, emphasizing learning by doing, and allowing them to be a part of the industry even as students.

Jorik Katalbas, MINT’s resident crooner, delivered a warm and sweet-sounding “First Noel”. With only a keyboard piano to sing with, the song gave off that homey, familiar feeling whenever you’re around family and friends during gatherings.
Online friends-turned-bandmates R.I.T.—or Raiza Racelis, Izzy Mariano, and Timo Valiente—gave “Hark The Heralds” a chill vibe, fit for conversations over hot chocolates.
Diego Redoblado, MINT guitar master, gave “Jingle Bells” a millenial-Gen Z Christmas party reboot.
